What is Bakuchiol?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bakuchiol is a plant-based skin care ingredient that helps to reduce signs of skin aging. It is obtained from the leaves and seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant (Babchi plant). It inhibits inflammation and thus helps against impurities such as acne, makes the skin smoother and reduces discoloration due to the sun. Originally the plant was used in traditional Chinese medicine as a miracle cure, but nowadays it can also be found more often in our skin care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The miracle ingredient stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. It also softens, evens and calms the (acne-)prone skin and refines the skin texture. Research has proven that bakuchiol actually has multiple anti-aging benefits. Using Bakuchiol as Natural Retinol<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The natural ingredient is also called the better alternative to retinol. Just like bakuchiol, retinol works against skin aging, but without the disadvantages of retinol. Retinol can dry out, irritate and thin the skin and you should not apply it too often, because it makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. This is not an option for people with sensitive skin! The texture of the skin care product containing the bakuchiol is not important. Whether you add it in a serum or in a cream makes no difference. The concentration of bakuchiol, on the other hand, is very important. A percentage between 0.5 and 2% is the right amount for visible results. To get and maintain the best results, it is recommended to also use sunscreen with at least SPF 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
